Im looking at publishing this next Friday, the 29th of March. Ive included a small snippet to wet the appetite…
427th CEB (counter drone) Command Post, Deep Underground Base Texhoma, Okinawa, Japan
The Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Denise Ware, watched silently as her staff officers and commanders managed the fight. Denise had fun driving drones earlier in her career, but a feedback loop with four ground combat drones almost killed her. She couldn’t drive a VR-linked haptic drone again but could surely lead and focus her team's efforts. Quantum Entangled Communications ended the need to be in the same zip code as the drone. This allowed the drivers to be placed in secure locations out of the reach of the Sptsnaz Killers, who hunted American drone operators on a full-time basis.
Now, her battalion was assigned over 1000 drone operators. They were spread out all over the Pacific region using quantum entanglement communication. Facing the challenge like a network optimization specialist, Denise was able to influence the company commanders while seeing the operations unfold on the holographic projection table at the bottom of the “pit.” The Pit was where the staff officers and commanders coordinated the application of drone-induced ultra-violence worldwide.
“Hey, Two, what does it look like Cactus is flying into?”
“Ma’am, it looks like a well-set air defense system with S400 and mobile platforms working together. Kicking their ass every time is getting rid of all the slow horses.”
“Two, we need to improve at leaving incompetent survivors, right?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
In her fertile mind, Denise was assembling the dream team of counter-drone warfare and pointing it at the heart of two Soviet Motorized Artillery Regiments. She was simultaneously stacking assets, multi-tasking with the space force, and even chatting with one of the drone company commanders. Out of the chaos in her own head space came the brilliance she was getting ready to unleash on Mother Russia… kind of like mother fuck you, red boi!
